Sort the order of option sections and individual choices in the customiser

Last updated:

Use Sort Option Order to change the order of the main sections your customer sees in the customiser. For example, you can show sizes before colours, move mounting later, or put file upload near the start.

This does not rename options or change pricing. It only changes the display order.

1. In the app dashboard, click the Customiser you want to edit:

2. In the customiser sidebar, open Sort Option Order:

3. Drag the sections into the order you want. The customer-facing customiser updates on desktop and mobile.

Sections you can sort

The exact list depends on the sign type, pricing model, and settings for that customiser. Sign Customiser can sort these customer-facing sections when they apply:

  • File upload

  • Text form

  • Fonts

  • Colours

  • Product types

  • Product type colours

  • Sizes

  • Jackets

  • Materials

  • Backboards or panels

  • Backboard colours or panel colours

  • Backlight

  • Mounting

  • Mounting colour

  • Additional input options

Some section names change by sign type. For example, cut-out metal signs may show panels instead of backboards, and channel or lightbox signs may use product type colours instead of the standard colours section.

Sorting the choices inside a section

Sort Option Order controls the order of the main sections. To sort the choices inside a section, open that section in the customiser admin and drag the rows in its table.

You can sort the choices inside these areas when they are enabled:

  • Fonts

  • Sizes

  • Colours

  • Product types

  • Product type colours

  • Jackets

  • Materials

  • Backboards or panels

  • Backboard colours or panel colours

  • Backlights

  • Mountings

  • Mounting colours

  • Additional input options

  • Custom design forms

  • Fields inside a custom design form

  • Icons and graphics

If you cannot see a section or choice list, that usually means it is not used by that customiser’s sign type, pricing model, or current settings.
