-
Label - the name of the size (for example, Small or 50cm)
-
(Optional) Description - more information about the size
-
-
In the Size Strategy section, choose one:
-
Fixed Width - Set the width. The height changes to fit the width.
-
Fixed Height - Set the height per line. The width changes to fit the height.

With Fixed Height, use Multi-line height measurement to choose what the height value means. This applies when a sign has more than one line.
-
Line height (default) - The value is the full height of each line. The total height is number of lines × height per line. The space between lines is in that total. Three lines at 7 inches measure 21 inches.
-
Letter height - The value is the height of the letters. The space between lines is added to the total. When the distance from one line to the next is more than the letter height, the total is more than number of lines × letter height. For example, three lines of 7-inch letters then measure more than 21 inches.
When you choose Letter height, the form also shows a Border per edge field. To use the default border from your size settings, keep the field empty.

A sign with one line has the same size with each option. A sign with one line has no space between lines.
Letter height resizes the sign
Letter height can make a sign with more than one line taller and wider. This happens when the distance from one line to the next is more than the letter height. It changes the size that the customer sees. It also changes the size that goes to the manufacturer. It can change prices that depend on the sign area, such as the backboard price. The font line spacing sets the distance from one line to the next. Refer to Change A Font’s Line Height / Line Spacing.

Step 2: Automatically Switch to the Next Size When Character Limit Is Reached
Each size in Simple Letter has a maximum character limit. A customer can type more characters than the limit allows. Then the app can change to the next size automatically. The customer can keep designing the sign without a stop at the limit. At the last size in your list, the limit still applies.
By default, automatic size switching is on.
To turn it off:
-
In the left-hand menu of your customiser, go to Core Setup → Sizes.
-
In the Character limits section, select the Prevent size automatically switching up checkbox.
-
Click Save.
