Currency conversion

Use the Currency Conversion page to multiply all prices in one customiser by a currency rate. This saves time when you have many prices.

To raise or lower all prices in one customiser by a percentage, open the customiser and use Settings → Adjust all prices in its Customiser Menu. That page shows a preview. After you apply a bulk update, the page also shows an Undo last bulk update button. See Quickly update all prices.

The Currency Conversion page does not change your Store currency. To change the Store currency, see Change the primary currency for the store in the universal app.

To convert all the prices on your customiser:

1. Go to the Universal admin (web.signcustomiser.com) for your Store.

2. Select Customisers in the left-hand menu.

3. Select the customiser that you want to change.

4. Look at the address in the address bar of your browser. It ends with /app/customisers/ and the ID of the customiser.

5. Add /convert-currency to the end of the address. Press Enter. The customiser menu has no item for this page.

   The Currency Conversion page opens.

   

6. Look at the From and To fields. From shows USD when the page opens. To also shows USD, unless the Store is linked to a Shopify store. In that case, To shows the currency of that Shopify store. Select the currency that you want in the To list. The page shows the rate, for example 1 USD = 1.5 AUD. The rate comes from the latest currency rates.

7. To use your own rate, select Use custom rate. A Rate field replaces the From and To fields. The page multiplies each price by the rate. A rate of 2 doubles each whole-number price. Some results are rounded up to the next whole number. To show the From and To fields again, select Use latest rates. The page keeps your custom rate. To use the latest rate again, reload the page.

8. Select Convert Prices. The Confirm conversion dialogue opens.

   

9. Select Confirm to change the prices. Select Cancel to stop.
