Sign Customiser

Overview of the three pricing models in Sign Customiser: the Simple Letter Model, the Advanced Letter Model, and the Frame Fit Model.

Last updated:

Sign Customiser offers three pricing models. The right model for you depends on how you want to calculate your prices.

Simple Letter Model

The Simple Letter Model uses predefined size tiers. You set a fixed width or fixed height for each tier, then configure pricing based on size, number of characters, and number of lines.

This is the simplest model and is ideal if you sell signs in standard sizes, such as 40cm, 60cm, and 80cm.

Advanced Letter Model

The Advanced Letter Model measures the actual font path data of each character to calculate material usage. Pricing is based on the actual length of material required rather than a fixed price per character. This allows you to create accurate, per-centimetre pricing that scales according to the text the customer types.

The Advanced Letter Model also supports:

  • Dynamic sizing – customers can choose or enter their own size.

  • Font-specific measurements – set minimum heights for individual fonts.

  • Flexible pricing – calculate prices based on material length or a fixed cost per letter.

  • Shipping calculations – calculate shipping based on the dimensions of the finished sign.

  • AI Sign Designer – price SVG-based designs using the same material calculations.

Frame Fit Model

The Frame FIT Model prices signs based on the dimensions of the frame rather than the text inside it.

You can calculate the price based on:

  • Area – width × height × price per cm²

  • Volumn – width × height × depth × rate per cm³

The text itself does not affect the price.

This model is ideal for lightbox signs, panel displays, board signs, and any other signage where the manufacturing cost is based on the size of the frame rather than the amount of text.
