Copy a customiser to another store you own
Run more than one store? Our support team can copy a customiser from one of your stores into another. Here's what we need to do it.
Last updated:
If you have more than one Store, our support team can copy a customiser from one of your Stores to another. You do not have to build the same customiser again. We copy its sign product types, sizes, colours, fonts, pricing and settings to the other Store.
Copying within the same Store? You can do it yourself from the Customisers list. See Duplicating a customiser. This article is for copying to a different Store.
Who this is for
We can copy a customiser between two Stores when you own both Stores. We can also copy it when you are a member of the Company that owns both Stores. We do not copy a customiser from a Store that you do not own. We also do not copy it when you are not a member of the Company that owns that Store.
What we need from you
Send these four items to our support team:
-
The Store that has the customiser now. Give its Store ID. For a Shopify Store, give its
your-store.myshopify.comaddress. The customiser ID in item 3 shows us the Store, so this item is a cross-check. -
The Store for the copy. Give its Store ID. For a Shopify Store, give its
your-store.myshopify.comaddress. -
The customiser ID (or IDs) to copy. You can send more than one. Click Customisers in the admin. Read the Customiser ID column. Find your Sign Customiser ID has more detail. We use the ID, not the name.

- Confirmation that you own both Stores, or are a member of the Company that owns them.
In the Universal admin, to find a Store ID, look under the Store name in the store switcher at the top left. The Store ID shows before the currency.

How to request it
Contact our support team and send the four items above. We make the copy for you. We do each copy by hand. We start the copy when we have all four items.
Good to know
-
The original customiser does not change. It stays exactly as it is on the first Store. We copy it. We do not move it.
-
We name the copy “Copy of” and then the name of the original. To use a different name, tell us.
-
Prices do not change by default. To adjust them, for example to a different currency or a markup, tell us. We apply the change when we copy.
-
We do not copy products that you created from the original customiser. Create them in the destination Store after the copy.
-
The copy stays switched off if the destination Store cannot go live. A Store can go live with an active subscription. A Universal Store can also go live with a trial that has a payment method on file. If the destination Store can go live, the copy has the same on or off setting as the original. If the copy is off, contact us when the Store is ready.
-
The copy keeps the original manufacturer and the Receiver Email from its Manufacturer Email settings. If the original has a Receiver Email, or a manufacturer with an email address, orders from the copy go to the same address. If it has neither, orders from the copy go to the email of the owner of the destination Store. For a Shopify Store, they go to the email address of the Shopify store owner. Check these addresses for the destination Store. If one is wrong, tell us.
-
When we finish, open the destination Store and check the copy. If anything is wrong, tell us.
