Install Sign Customiser in a Shopify theme with an app block

Use this guide to add Sign Customiser to a Shopify page or product template with an app block.

Step 1: Create a custom template

1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.

2. Select Edit theme to open the theme editor.

3. Open the Home page menu.

4. Select Pages or Products.

5. Select Create template.

6. Enter a template name, such as Custom sign.

7. Select Create template.

Step 2: Add the Sign Customiser section

The steps are the same for a page template and a product template.

1. Under Template, select Add section.

   

2. Select Apps, then select Sign Customiser.

   

3. Open the Sign Customiser section.

4. Enter the Sign Customiser ID. See Find your Sign Customiser ID.

5. Configure the applicable display settings.

6. Select Save.

To make the customiser full width, open the Sign Customiser section. Turn on Force full width.

The images below show earlier theme-specific width controls. Your theme can use different labels for its own section settings.

Step 3: Assign the template

Add the customiser to a page

1. Go to Online Store > Pages.

2. Add or open a page.

3. Find the Online store section.

4. Open Theme template and select the template that you created.

5. Select Save.

Add the customiser to a product

1. Go to Products.

2. Add or open the product that will display the customiser.

3. Set the product status to Active.

4. Open Theme template and select the template that you created.

5. Select Save.

Open the storefront page and complete an add-to-cart test.
