Customiser status: active and inactive
How customiser status works, how to recognise an inactive customiser, and when activation is not the cause of an add-to-cart problem.

An active customiser can load on your website and accept customer designs. If the customiser opens and lets customers design a sign, it is active.
How customiser status works

New customisers are created active.

When you duplicate an active customiser, the copy is active too.

There is no Activate customiser checkbox in the Edit screen.
If a customiser is inactive
An inactive customiser shows an inactive or unavailable message instead of the designer. Contact support with your Store name and customiser ID. We can check its status and any subscription limit that applies.
Add-to-cart problems are separate
If the designer loads and Sign Customiser creates the product, the customiser is active. Do not try to fix a later add-to-cart or integration error by looking for an activation setting.
